Can you be friends with AI? Exploring the Evolving Human-AI Relationship

Share

Friendship is the epitome of any human being! They bring out the best of you and most importantly they understand you!

Well, how about I say a camaraderie with AI?

I am sure it is an unusual perspective.

Little do we know virtual companion is a symbol of the human urge for meaningful interactions and a sense of understanding rather than just a piece of “cutting-edge” technology.

Today, AI can fill the void in our lives by providing dependable support, insightful guidance, and helpful assistance whenever we need it. By truly listening to us, it gets to know our unique preferences and responds in a way that feels personalized and just right for us.

This November, Open AI has aimed to launch a new AI code-named strawberry(previously known as Q pronounced as Q Star) as a part of AI possibly within CHAT-GPT.

Strawberry is unlike any AI, as claimed by the researchers. Strawberry performs better as it can solve complex mathematical problems, provide in-depth theoretical answers and solve logical puzzles.

This is a breakthrough from previous generations of AI which struggled with unfamiliar problems. Previous versions of AI found it tough to answer any problem with symbolic or ambiguous information.

And did we mention, that this AI is also programmed to have profound conversations that are realistic and catered to an individual?

According to the rumors, Strawberry is part of Open Al’s never-ending battle to stay ahead of other well-funded rivals vying for supremacy in conversational Al, or LLMS (large language models). The technology also has implications for future products known as agentsthat aim to solve multistep tasks.

In response, a few weeks back Google’s Gemini had a new update, Gem Manager. Which is more like Google’s version of the customized GPT prompt.

One of the standout features of Gem is that it allows to creation their customized data, that is tailored to specific instructions. This unique capability sets it apart from other chatbots, which don’t offer this level of customization.

Gem Manager also provides live access to data from within Google’s ecosystem, providing users with highly personalized and relevant responses.

Deven Tokuno, the product leader of Gem, says. “Not only does it craft comprehensive instructions, but it also helps them learn how to write like a prompt engineer, showcasing what good instructions look like. It’s a great way to get inspiration — and if you don’t like it, you can undo it or edit it.”

Gem Manager is incredibly versatile and executes a wide range of tasks beyond just sending emails. They can be a valuable assistant in various aspects of life, such as drafting letters, articles, and written content. It can also assist in researching specific genres such as 80s pop music, providing recommendations or interesting facts.

According to Tidio, “Roughly 1.5 billion people are using chatbots across five countries, by 2027 there would be an exponential growth of chatbots as they would be the primary customer service channel for quarter businesses!”

AI and chatbots have been around for a while, but our interactions with them have often lacked the warmth of human-like conversations, including friendly greetings, casual small talk, and engaging discussions. But over a period, AI has evolved massively. Now it’s more common to ask AI as it’s easier and comfortable rather than talking to a human.

With the advancement of technology, people are increasingly relying upon voice search to quickly access the information they need as they prioritize speed in the research.
